How to get your hands on the beautiful Reading Cycling Club Kit
Reading Cycle Club has a long history of its members wearing recognisable cycling kit. From the predominantly yellow kit that our members used to wear (and which still makes an occasional appearance) to the current blue, the club’s kit has been known to draw admiring (and maybe envious) glances from our neighbouring cycle clubs when we pass them on our rides.
Wearing club kit helps to foster a sense of club identity and it also helps to advertise the club to would-be members and road users. Members wearing club kit on club events are also eligible for bonus points in the club’s annual points competition. And points will be gained for wearing kit at external events too!
You can order club kit from stock at any time from the new RCC Online Store. The store inventory is always up-to-date so you can browse at any time to see what items and sizes are available for immediate purchase. Orders can be collected in person, or can be posted out to you. Payment is accepted from all major debit and credit cards, including American Express, and you can also pay via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Postage charges will be added at check-out if Shipping has been requested.
The Club partners with three kit suppliers – one primary kit supplier for centralised twice-yearly summer and winter kit bulk orders, including holding stock of core items across the year; then Nopinz and Jakroo for individual one-off kit orders at any time. For the most part, members get kit to wear on club rides from our primary supplier, and more specialised (eg racing) kit from Nopinz or Jakroo, depending on preference.
Sadly Endura ceased their custom kit supply business at the end of 2024, but we have a limited amount of Endura products still in stock (and some of older Castelli kit as well). The club is in the process of selecting a new primary supplier for the 2025 season, and we hope to have this on-stream for late Spring deliveries.
Feedback on the quality of Endura, Nopinz and Jakroo kit continues to be excellent and together they offer almost every type of cycling garment (and a few non-cycling things!) in club colours. Our primary supplier generally offers a good discount from their list prices for members, so ordering club kit from them is a cost effective way of getting kitted out in excellent quality cycling kit.
