INCOMING… Our super new 2025 club kit is on its way!
Reading Cycle Club has a long history of its members wearing recognisable cycling kit. From the predominantly yellow kit that our members used to wear (and which still makes an occasional appearance) to the current blue, the club’s kit has been known to draw admiring (and maybe envious) glances from our neighbouring cycle clubs when we pass them on our rides. And now we’re introducing a bold new look in partnership with our 2025 kit suppliers, Stolen Goat, with first deliveries due in early June.
Wearing club kit helps to foster a sense of club identity and it also helps to advertise the club to would-be members and road users. Members wearing club kit on club events are also eligible for bonus points in the club’s annual points competition. And points will be gained for wearing kit at external events too!
For 2025 the Club is partnering with Stolen Goat, introducing a fresh new design approach and offering members a choice of “Club” and “Race Team” jersey variants, both based on the same light blue / dark blue / yellow colour palette that has made the club stand out on the roads over recent years.
We’ll continue to run centralised twice-yearly summer and winter kit bulk purchases, where members can pre-order kit at subsidised prices, and we will hold a small stock of core items across the year; but we’ll also be able to make smaller top-up orders if stocks run low in mid-season.
You can order club kit from stock at any time from the new RCC Online Store. The store inventory is always up-to-date so you can browse at any time to see what items and sizes are available for immediate purchase. Orders can be collected in person, or can be posted out to you. Payment is accepted from all major debit and credit cards, including American Express, and you can also pay via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Postage charges will be added at check-out if Shipping has been requested.
Sadly our previous kit supplier Endura ceased their custom kit supply business at the end of 2024, but we still have a limited amount of Endura products still in stock, available at discounted prices from the RCC Online Store.
Colin Bates is the Clothing Secretary for the 2025 season, and sends out periodic all-member emails on the Club-wide Google Group email service from time-to-time with kit news so look out for emails from kit@readingcyclingclub.org. Also look out for kit news on the club’s WhatsApp chat groups. Get in touch with Colin to order anything, arrange a try-before-you-buy visit or if you have any other kit-related questions or requests.
We have previously worked with Nopinz and Jakroo for individual one-off kit orders at any time. Take-up has been low, and we have no immediate plans to make the new 2025 kit designs available from these suppliers.
